Muli ke parathe

Category - Asian cooking

Muli Parathas – don’t you hear the name splashed all over Hindi movies? Heroine to hero – “Maine tumhare pasand ke Muli ke parathe banaye hain. Aur saath main Gajar ka halwa bhi.” So I decided to see what the hype was all about. I did not go hunting for a recipe but still it turned out great! Serve hot with chutneys or curd…

Ingredients of Muli ke Parathe

Radish (Muli) 1 medium sized
Wheat flour 3 cups
Coriander seeds crushed 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Lemon Juice 1 tsp
Oil 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
      For stuffing:
3 Mooli (Radish)
Salt To Taste
1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Corainder powder
2 Green chillies, chopped finely
2 tbsp Corainder leaves
For dough:
2 cups Wheat flour
Salt To taste
Water As needed
Oil for frying muli paranthas
Method Of Muli ke Parathe
  *  Wash and grate the radish and keep aside after mixing some salt. After sometime press the grated radish to remove the water.   * Heat 2 tbsp oil in a heavy pan add the grated radish and season with the dry powders.
  * Warm it for sometime and then remove it from heat. After it cools down add it to the flour along with 1 tbsp oil and salt and make a tight dough mixing water carefully or the dough will become too loose. Keep aside for some time.
   * Then make small balls and roll them like parathas. Put the paratha on the griddle/tawa and cook like any paratha.
